Buddhism to me means practice. I pity the scholars who only study the doctrine purely on its own, and I worry about the nominal Buddhists around the world who grow up in the culture…do they hear the Dharma, I wonder?
For me, and I think for many of us so newly touched in the West, there is only the path of practice, in which the view forms an equal part with the experience.
So this is mostly about practice, and experience, and the wisdom teachings of others that in turn settle and seep into one’s daily practice.
As for Sacred West, we live in profane times but this world is still sacred. All of reality as it manifests each moment appears from a primordial ground beyond words and concepts – but not beyond our ability to experience.
